SDR stands for “Super Dynamic Range” and guarantees correct operation with a signal input level of 85dBuv without overload. This method of operation is far more demanding and requires an amplifier of exceptional performance to handle such a high signal at the input.  

Vari-Gain, adjustable gain that maintains full performance, whatever the gain setting. Unlike the FRINGE Vari-Gain, One of the more popular variable gain amplifiers currently on the market increases its noise figure from 2.7dB at full gain to 6.6dB at 8dB gain as shown on our noise figure meter. This increase in noise is due to the inter stage gain control adding to the second stage noise contribution. This method may increase signal handling by a few dB but the increase in noise is completely unacceptable and negates the usefulness of the amplifier at lower gain levels. 

EEZI-FIT Our newly designed cable connection system. After cable preparation, this unique, fully screened push fit connection system allows three cables to be terminated with two screws.
